In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, VDSE has made a number of important changes to how we operate. There are also a few things our Students and Families need to do to help us stay open, safe and most importantly - dancing!
Please have a read over our Covid-19 Safety Plan to familiarise yourself with the protocols currently in place at our studio.
VDSE Covid-19 Safety Plan
Updated 1 January 2022
VDSE Covid-19 Safety Plan
In accordance with ACT Government guidelines, VDSE is open and our classes are running as per our timetable.
In order to comply with Public Health Directions, our current venue capacity is:
Maximum of 60 people (excluding staff and personnel) across the venue.
“The Risk Mitigation Guidance attached to the Public Health Directions details the capacity limits for venue indoor and outdoor spaces...If venues wish to have more than 25 people, venues can use the following methods to calculate their capacity: One person per two square metres of usable space in each indoor and outdoor space (excluding staff) provided they are using the Check In CBR app” (covid19.act.gov.au, December 2020)
business-or-venue.pdf)
To help VDSE comply with this limit and meet the broader requirements of the ACT Government, the following protocols will be in place until further notice is given:
-
Masks to be worn inside the venue by all visitors aged 12 and up, except during class. A person is not required to wear a face mask if they have a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, which makes wearing a face mask detrimental to their condition.
-
Upon entry to our venue all visitors will be required to use the Check In CBR app or a staff member can enter contact details into the Check in CBR VDSE Business Profile on their behalf.
-
Alternatively the Check In CBR card can be scanned by a staff member.
-
In the event of disruption to the app/internet access a paper form will be available and contact details kept for a period of 28 days (after which they will be securely destroyed). These records are necessary for contact tracing purposes and must be available if requested by an authorised officer.
Check in CBR app
If you intend to use the app, before your next visit please:
✓ Make sure you have a compatible phone or tablet device and your internet connection is switched on.
✓ Download the Check In CBR App from Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Click here to go to the CBR App website.
✓ Register your details (required for the first time only).
At our studio:
✓ open the app, select ‘Check In Now’ and hover your smartphone over the displayed QR code.
✓ Add in any additional people - those who are with you without their own device or app. (You do not need to add your child if you are dropping them off for class as they will be recorded on the class roll)
✓ Check for the green tick on the app successful check in screen.
-
Class rolls will be taken in each class and kept on file for a minimum of 28 days as per the requirements for ACT Government in case of contact tracing
-
Only 1 adult per student (excluding accompanying children) will be permitted into our venue during peak times (Monday – Friday 4-6pm and Saturdays 9-1pm)
-
Wherever possible parents should drop off their child and go
-
Classes will start and end at the times stated in the timetable, please be on time to pick up your child. As we do not have direct street access please pick them up from the studio door at the end of your child’s class - we will not permit children under 12 to leave the venue on their own to meet you outside
-
If your child is unwell with any symptoms of Covid-19 (fever, dry cough) please keep them home. This is to ensure the safety of all students and staff
-
Please adhere to all mandatory instructions and travel advice when you consider attending our studio
